Virtual French is a fun way to learn French and to develop both written and spoken skills! The CD-ROM includes fully narrated, interactive activities, video, songs and extensive pronunciation and grammar support. It has 15 topics. Each topic includes an introductory exercise, an interactive activity session, an extension exercise, an image bank and a list of key language used in that subject, with an audio clip for pronunciation. All voiceovers are by native speakers. Intercultural understanding is strongly supported with numerous references to aspects of French life and culture through video footage and an imagebank. Virtual French is mapped to the Key Stage 2 Framework for Languages and is ideal to support children aged 7 to 11 who are learning French. This is a high quality CD-ROM, jointly published by two respected publishers Collins and Sherston. Highly recommended.
